Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains what happens to your money and your access when you subscribe to, cancel or dispute an AdOptIQ subscription. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Last updated: 12 September 2026

1. The core rule

  • No refunds. Once a subscription fee has been debited, it is non-refundable in whole or in part, whether or not you use the Service during that period.
  • You keep what you paid for. Instead of a refund, your plan stays fully active, with all its limits and features, until the end of the duration you paid for.
  • Cancellation stops future debits. You can cancel any time from the billing page. No further amount is charged, access and plan limits continue until the end of the last paid period, and the account then moves to the Free plan.

Because access is granted immediately on payment and the Service consumes AI generation capacity from the first use, subscriptions are treated as digital services delivered on purchase.

2. Cancellation — what exactly happens

  • Cancel before renewal: no new debit; current period runs to its end date.
  • After the period ends: the account drops to Free, with Free plan limits. Campaign data already past your retention window is deleted as usual; brand kits and knowledge bases are kept.
  • Creatives you already downloaded remain yours to use. Creatives still stored in the app remain subject to your data retention setting.
  • Re-subscribing later starts a fresh period at the then-current price.

3. Specific scenarios

  • Duplicate or double charge. If the same plan and period was charged twice, the extra charge is returned to the original payment method after verification. Write to us with both invoice IDs.
  • Money debited but no plan activated. If your bank debited you and the subscription did not activate, we either activate the plan or, where the payment never reached us and cannot be settled, the amount is reversed by the payment processor or your bank per their timelines.
  • Failed or declined payment. Renewal is retried by the payment processor. If it keeps failing, the plan lapses to Free at the end of the paid period.
  • Upgrade mid-cycle. The higher plan applies immediately; the amount charged is calculated by the payment processor for the remainder of the cycle. The earlier payment is not refunded.
  • Downgrade. Takes effect at the end of the current paid period. No partial refund of the higher plan.
  • Unused quota. Unused campaigns, adapts, exports or trend reports have no cash value, do not carry forward and are not refundable.
  • Dissatisfaction with AI output. Outputs are machine-generated drafts and vary. Dissatisfaction with a generated creative, layout or copy line is not a ground for refund. Tell us through Feedback and we will help you get a better result within your plan.
  • Service fault. If a defect on our side prevents you from using a core paid feature for a prolonged period, we may at our discretion extend your subscription duration by an equivalent period. Service credit of this kind is the only remedy offered.
  • Suspension for policy breach. Where we suspend or terminate an account for breach of the Terms, no refund is payable.
  • We discontinue the Service. If AdOptIQ permanently withdraws the Service or a paid plan during a period you have paid for, we may at our discretion issue a pro-rata credit or refund for the unused remainder. This is the only circumstance in which a pro-rata refund is considered.
  • Chargebacks. Please contact us before raising a chargeback. On receiving a chargeback we may suspend the account until it is resolved and will submit our transaction and usage records to the card network. Where a chargeback is decided against you, any bank or network fee incurred may be recovered before access is restored.

4. Cross-border payments and foreign remittance

  • Payments are processed by our payment processor in accordance with applicable Reserve Bank of India regulations for card and cross-border transactions.
  • For international cards, the exchange rate, cross-currency markup, international transaction fee, and any tax collected at source or remittance charge are applied by your card issuer or bank. These are not received by AdOptIQ and are not refundable by us.
  • The amount that reaches your account on any approved reversal may therefore differ from the amount debited, because of exchange rate movement and bank charges. That difference is not payable by AdOptIQ.
  • Where the Service is supplied to a customer outside India, it is invoiced as an export of services and taxed accordingly. Any tax withheld or levied in your own country is your responsibility.
  • Approved reversals are made only to the original payment instrument. We do not pay out to a different card, wallet or bank account.

5. How to raise a billing dispute

  • Email Adoptiq@adoptiq.in from your registered address with the invoice ID, payment date, amount and what went wrong. Invoices are downloadable from the billing page.
  • We acknowledge within 3 working days and aim to decide within 10 working days.
  • Where a reversal is approved, the payment processor initiates it within 7 working days of our decision; your bank may take a further 5 to 10 working days to credit it.
  • If the outcome does not satisfy you, escalate to the same address marked “Escalation”. Disputes that remain unresolved are subject to Indian law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.

6. Liability

Nothing in this policy increases AdOptIQ's liability beyond the cap in our Terms of Service, which limits total liability to a maximum of one (1) times the subscription fee paid by you for the plan and period concerned, and excludes indirect and consequential loss.
